Two weeks ago, I got my nails done for the first time in a year. I know, shame on me. In my defense, I did polish them myself for sometime then, as you assumed, I-let-myself-go. What made me break my streak? A gig. Yup. The opportunity to work with a new client made me take a page out of the Parks and Recreation playbook and treat myself.
As I sat in the chair, vibing to French jazz while my feet soaked in balmy water and mind drifting off to kid-free island, I wondered why I waited so long to get my nails done. I quickly interrupted that thought, contemplating on a color to don on my nails. Should I go with the predictable cold weather bordeaux, navy, or plum? Or should I opt for a bright color, because I’m rebellious and want to prove they’re not only reserved for summer. You guessed it. I’m a nonconformist and chose a bright and pretty snowflake blue. Join the revolution and don these beautiful brights if you’re not ready to embrace deep winter hues.
